Unbroken.

Someone said your face always looks like it is falling apart.  ” why are you so sad”.  You replied with something that was meant to look like a smile.  Trying to convince him that we don’t all smile from the outside.

He says to you,  “did you know that dimples are actually dead skin cells inside your face”.

You looked at him, gathering the distorted pieces of your face. Marking where  he had been calling it broken and you shaded around it to show him that just because you are broken,  doesn’t mean you need to be fixed. Learn to find beauty within the cracks. You are a not always a construction site.
